It's all in the editing

Taking the picture is only half of the process... (maybe less)... The editing process in Photoshop is where you bring your vision to fruition and find expression.... Here is a quick edit on one of your shots...  The elements were there for a strong statement... but the camera can only do so much...

    Hi Jaimie,

    The edits only affect contrast, light, etc... Sharpness is not changed... To take a shot like this with deep depth of field, use a wide angle lens and a small aperture....
