Final Week: "How to fry an Egg"

Apologies for posting so late, busy summer day! For the final week, I had a lot of fun shooting. I photographed my handsome boyfriend, Joey. I struggled slightly because I wasn't able to make it home today to use natural sunlight. Instead, together, we tacked a white sheet to the ceiling along with a dark sheet behind him to create a backdrop. I had to experiment a little by changing the lamps I was using and also taking off the lamp shades and leaving them on. Then we moved outside and worked near my outside lights and under a street light as well. I sort of liked this better than shooting in the day time because it created such an intense glow on his face. Enjoy!

Finale

For this week i photographed my niece. She's only four but she was surprising cooperative. She was so eager to model that she kept trying to change poses right as i was snapping photos, but eventually she got the hang of it. I told her to look out of the window which was covered by a sheer curtain and when i moved the curtain back to shed more light she said : "Muucchhh Better." After the shoot was over she hustled me out of two dollars and had the nerve to split her profits with her Teddy Bear for its role in the photoshoot. Here are some of my favorite shots!!

WK 6 PORTRAIT

I'm not sure how I did here but my little cousin was ecstatic to be my model.  More natural sunlight at the bay window.

WK 4 Shadows and Light

For this assignment I was inside the house stationed at my bay window where we get tons of natural light.

Recap: 5 projects

Hi Everyone...

Just to recap... we had 5 projects... I asked you to photograph at least 50 shots for each project then edit your best 6-10 and put all in a Google Drive folder that you shared with me.... Finally, put 3 or more of those on the blog  as your work for the week so that I and your classmates could comment... Here is a list of the projects...

1.   Introduction to Composition (downtown)
2.     Assignment: By the Sea
3.     Shadows and Light
4.     The Macro Project
5.     The Digital Portrait

Take a minute to make sure that all of the folders for each assignment is in your main folder and that your main folder has your name on it and that it is shared with me.

Grading will happen tomorrow morning.

Hope you enjoyed this experience and that you keep going out shooting... It is a great lifetime habit to keep doing for the rest of your life!

Enjoy the rest of the summer!
